My favorite trips of 2013
In 2013 I traveled quite a bit. For work, for my blog, for fun and to visit family & friends. Of course I hope to explore some more in 2014. Already in my agenda: Italy and London.
We started the year in Burgundy, France /// and spent a weekend at the beautiful Auberge du Jeu de Paume in Chantilly, France, at 10 minutes from our home
In February I traveled to Stockholm, Sweden where I stayed at the wonderful Hotel Skeppsholmen /// and I broke a new personal record of fewest days spent in Holland in one year: only 10!
Berlin was so much fun, colorful and eclectic and I met so many cool people /// and I time traveled at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace near Paris
In August I was in sunny Copenhagen, Denmark /// and also crossed the bridge to visit Malmö, Sweden
In October it was time for a long & sunny holiday in the South of France /// and a lovely weekend in Antwerp in November
My favorite flowers of 2013
In 2013 I re-discovered the joy of having flowers at home, not in the last place through the fun monthly challenge by Elodie and Inga called #2flowergirls. Having flowers at home is always a little challenging with our flower eating cats, but it was worth the effort:
Colorful Gradient Berries /// Pretty dahlias for flower challenge #2flowergirls
Yellow daffodils from our garden /// Homegrown melon plant (that gave one single fruit!)
Red blossom in a measuring cup /// A colorful bouquet of hand picked flowers
My favorite shops of 2013
In 2013 I visited some beautiful boutiques with unique and well curated collections of goodies for the home. These are my absolute favorites:
Stilleben in Copenhagen, Denmark /// Outspoken concept store in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.
The Recollection in Antwerp, Belgium /// La Maison Pernoise in Pernes les Fontaines, France
Papier Tigre in Paris, France /// Hay House in Copenhagen, Denmark

My favorite jungles of 2013
Yayy, it's that time of the year again! Time to look back at some of the highlights of 2013! Let's start with the amazing urban jungles that I got to visit. And of course the Urban Jungle Bloggers series that Igor and I initiated earlier this year. It has been SO much fun to share some green on our blogs. Here's to a lot more urban jungles in 2014!
The Jardin Exotique in Monaco where it all began /// Domaine du Rayol in Canadel sur Mer, France
The Slottsträdgården in Malmö, Sweden /// The Garden of Migration, Fort Saint-Jean, Marseille, France
Tillandsia by Filles de l'Air at Abbaye de Chaalis, France /// My own urban jungle in France
Ho ho ho x100
HO HO HO, Merry Christmas!
I hope you are having a wonderful day with loved ones, or if you're not celebrating: just a nice regular Wednesday. Oh and if you need it, our Lego genie grants you 3 wishes if you rub the lamp ;)
Also, I wanted to thank you for all the cheers and support via instagram, email and messages, during my runs. This morning I ran for the 100th time and it made me feel proud and grateful. I never thought I could do it, but in the end it's all about discipline and time management. And serotonin ;)
This year we dressed our wooden tree in Lego mini figures. Quite different than the pine branches last year. Our cats love it even better. Always a surprise which figures are missing in the morning!
