I heart Hartô

JOELIX.com | Hartô design French furniture for a happy home from Maison & Objet Paris 2014

The good thing about a grey and rainy Sunday in Paris? You can spend it at Maison & Objet and bring home an overdose of inspiration, lots of nice conversations with designers, many giggles with fellow bloggers and a full SD card with loads of images. That's exactly what I did 😉

One of my design crushes from M&O 2014 is called Hartô, a young French brand that creates clever & colorful furniture for happy homes. Even more than the designs themselves, the colors totally got me: bright, unexpected and inspiring. Oh and they also have a beautiful simple logo… that's how to win me over: bold colors & a beautiful logo. I'm easy 😉

  1. Love the simple lines! There is so much great design in Europe you cannot get here. Such a bummer. I was just browsing House Doctor and Bloomingville catalogs… And got sad…

    1. I've heard that before, apparently there's very little choice if you like pure (scandi! non-traditional) designs. How do you deal with that? Did you bring lots of stuff from Germany? Are you buying online? Or just dreaming and buying local designers? Please reassure me that there are some cool designers in SF ;)

  2. Great find! Reminds me a bit of The Hansen Family, also one my favourites. Looking forward to more handpicked bits and pieces from maison&objet. ( I like that you picked only one for your first post, too many different designers and brands in one post are often so overwhelming…)

    1. Oh yeah, it definitely has a bit of that mid-century look of The Hansen Family! Thanks for the comment on 1 brand only: trade shows, and especially M&O, are so big, that I couldn't show all at once (or even twice). I'll share a few themes in the next coming days. Not too overwhelming, just a few beautiful things :)
