Urban Jungle Bloggers #20

After the longest Sunday of the year, summer is finally here! Most of my cacti woke up after long months of hibernation and are currently growing new ears/leaves/paddles. This one just grew a tiny little arm the other day which made me so happy because this is what he looked like a year ago….

Today will be a hot day in France, so let's start with some refreshing #plantcolorpop for June's edition of Urban Jungle Bloggers! While the walls in our home are all white, we do have some colorful doors (we have more than 30 doors in our home) and my favorite is still our submarine yellow door. I turned it into #plantsonpink just because I can and because I love Photoshop. While I was there, I couldn't help trying some other colors too:

The doors of the office spaces downstairs are blue, so there I had my second option. This cactus (he doesn't have a name!) is by far not my most photogenic one, as he is a little glossy and has weird veins and nearly any spines, but well… he says hi:

What do you think? Yellow? Blue? Pink? Personally I think white is not too bad either 😉
Ciaoooo have a great summer and see you for a new Urban Jungle Bloggers edition on September 10th!

  4. Hi joelix.com readers, there is an issue with the comments and the code monkeys are hard at work trying to fix things. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hugs, the ubermonkey.

Well done with your plant! I dont't know sometimes I feel like I'm going 1 step forward and 2 backwards with my plants..

    Loved this month's theme.
Happy UJB break – you guys deserve it!! xx

    1. Thank you Tina! I knew you would enjoy my little gif ;) Plants really learn us to be patient, sometimes they seem to die and behave strangely and then completely out of the blue they show new signs of life. I really like the surprise of that. I'm not sure if we're really going to have a break, we'll continue to blog, that's for sure. It's been some busy but fun months, so I'm already looking forward to UJB Season III ;) Have a great summer… but first a happy weekend, Tina! xx

  7. Oh the pink backdrop is my favourite. Pink and cactus aren't meant to be together.. So happy that he's feeling much better now. Enjoy your summer UJB break Judith. x

    1. I think you do indeed need a yellow door now! Everyone does ;) Have a great weekend, Jans (although I'm not sure if that's your real name… are you Jan's sister, or is that just the name of your blog?)

    1. Oh yes, he really is waving at you, Julia! And he also wishes you a great weekend! I wish I would have enough paint to paint all my doors in different colors, like true rainbow doors ;) Liebe Gruesse aus Frankreich!

  8. Cool!!! A submarine yellow door! Oh, I would like to have colored doors in my home too. That´s awesome!!! So pretty! Love your cacti and the color changing background in one of your photos. Wow! That really pops!!! :-))) Have a nice summer… Michaela :-)
